Fresno Ag Hardware’s Clovis grand opening an event 146 years in the making
The anticipated grand opening of Fresno Ag Hardwares Clovis location the first expansion to another city in the retailers 146-year history is scheduled for Thursday with a spin on the traditional ribbon cutting.
Located at the corner of Herndon and Clovis avenues, the new 10,000-square-foot location will stock the same products as the Fresno location.
The Nov. 9 grand opening at 3 p.m. will feature a chainsaw cutting ceremony, instead of a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony. Ian Willams, Fresno Ag Hardware chief operating officer and general manager, will cut through a 2W4 piece of wood with a chainsaw to commemorate the stores opening.
Fresno Ag Hardware is the largest independently-owned hardware store in the Central Valley. Since its inception in 1876, the store prides itself on being a top choice for people to go for guidance in repair and improvement projects.
Store hours for the Clovis location will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The store will be open to the public for the first time after Thursdays 3 p.m. ceremony.
