Carmichael apartments sold for first time since built
New owners of a 138-unit apartment property in Carmichael may face some need for updated decor, unless they're big fans of untouched midcentury modern architecture.
For the first time since they were built in 1969, Courtyard Apartments sold recently to an investor based in the Bay Area, according to brokers at Marcus & MIllichap.
"It is highly unusual to hold on to a building for that long," said Tony DeLoney, one of three brokers on the sale. "Usually the depreciation period is 30 years, but the owner here just lived on the cash flow."
