Tesla to unveil charging station at El Paseo next month

The Business Journal — January 21, 2016

Electric-car maker Tesla Motors will unveil a “Supercharger” station at the Marketplace at El Paseo in northwest Fresno early next month.

The location will feature 10 Supercharger connectors, which allow Tesla vehicles to charge in minutes rather than hours. The shopping center is the first Supercharger location in the Fresno area.

“We are thrilled to offer this new service for our customers and community,” said Chris Shane, managing partner with Gryphon Capital, one of the developers for the Marketplace. “Our property compliments the Tesla Supercharger stations. Not only is our location ideally situated for those traveling through the San Joaquin Valley, but our shops and restaurants provide a variety of amenities for customers.”

The station is located off Herndon Avenue on North Riverside Drive and will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, free of charge. The connectors are compatible with all Model S and Model X vehicles.
