Pieology Pizzeria Opens Second Fresno, California Store
QSR Industry News Magazine — May 28, 2015
Pieology Pizzeria, where pizza lovers go to create custom pizzas in endless flavor combinations, has officially opened its second Fresno restaurant. Located at 6709 North Riverside Drive, in the Marketplace at El Paseo near Herndon and highway 99, the newest Fresno location is one of the first to feature Pieology’s new custom salad platform, allowing guests to personalize fresh, made-to-order salads. A proven favorite among pizza fans across the country, Pieology currently has a Fresno location in Fig Garden Village, with plans to open a third at the Square at Campus Pointe this summer.
“Since opening our doors in Fresno last year, we’ve received tremendous support from the community. We’re thrilled to open our second location, making the unique Pieology experience even more accessible to our Fresno guests,” says Carl Chang, founder and CEO. “There’s no question how fun it is to create your perfect pizza, but our fans say that it’s Pieology’s signature crust and sauce selections that keep them coming back for more.”
The Pieology experience starts with fresh house-made dough that is pressed into 11.5-inch thin pizza crusts. Guests first select from eight signature sauces, moving down the line to choose from more than 30 fresh and flavorful meats, cheeses, vegetables, herbs, and spices. The customized pizzas are then stone oven-fired to perfection in less than three minutes. To finish, guests have the option to add after-bake “Flavor Blast” sauces, including fiery buffalo, pesto, and BBQ. Most custom pizzas with unlimited toppings are $8 or less. Pieology also offers gluten-free crust, Daiya vegan mozzarella cheese (select locations), whole-wheat crust, and a selection of seven signature pizzas, which can be modified upon request.
Salad lovers have the ability to customize their perfect salad, choosing from three fresh lettuce options, including organic field greens, romaine hearts, or spinach. Guests then select from any of Pieology’s large variety of toppings, including sunflower seeds, garbanzo beans, and candied walnuts, along with a choice of five house-made dressings. Pieology also offers a signature Classic and Caesar salad, which can be personalized with additional ingredients upon request. The large portioned salad and pizza are the perfect pairing for a shareable meal.
Pieology Pizzeria at The Marketplace at El Paseo comfortably seats approximately 52 guests inside and 28 outside in an industrial-chic and friendly environment where inspirational quotes decorate the walls, menus, and employee uniforms.
