FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The new Target store in Northwest Fresno held its grand opening on Sunday.

The store is the first business to open as part of the Marketplace at El Paseo near Herndon Avenue and Highway 99. Marshalls, Old Navy and Burlington Coat Factory are just a few of the others also expected to open at the new shopping center.

City leaders hope the additions will bring more jobs and sales tax revenue to the area.

Target has been open to the public since its soft opening last Tuesday, but Sunday marked the official grand opening celebration.
