Hobby Lobby, movie theater coming to Marketplace at El Paseo

The Business Journal — February 12, 2018

A second Fresno Hobby Lobby and another Regal Cinema are part of phase-two plans for the Marketplace at El Paseo shopping center near Herndon Avenue and Highway 99.

Children’s apparel store Carter’s and regional Mexican eatery Que Pasa! are also coming soon to this fast-growing part of Fresno.

The Fresno Bee reported that construction on the lot south of Burlington Coat Factory will begin in July with a slated fall 2019 opening.

“With the success of phase one and through our marketing efforts, we’re finding great success in leasing,” said Lewis Smith, senior vice president at Retail California, which is marketing the property.

Southern California-based developers Rich Development and Gryphon Capital will be heading up construction of the next phase of the shopping center on Riverside Drive that began with anchor tenant Target, which opened in 2014.
