Burlington announces store at new Fresno development

The Fresno area will get its third Burlington Coat Factory store next year when the off-price retailer opens a location opens in the new Marketplace at El Paseo next year.
Burlington is one of a handful of tenants planned for the new development, sited along Herndon and Bryan avenues in northwest Fresno.
The 60,000 square-foot store is expected to open spring 2014, bringing anywhere from 50 to 100 jobs to the area.
Once open, the store will sell coats, suits, dresses, sportswear, accessories and shoes for all ages.
The retailer also offers furniture, housewares and home decor and gifts, both in store and through its website.
Other Burlington Coat Factory stores in the San Joaquin Valley are located at Blackstone and Bullard avenues in Fresno, at Shaw and Villa avenues in Clovis and at California Avenue and Easton Drive in Bakersfield.
Based in Burlington Township, N.J., Burlington Coat Factory has more than 500 stores in 44 states, including 59 in California, selling brand name merchandise at up to 65 percent of department store prices.
The new Fresno store will be built alongside Target, Old Navy, a Ross, Petco and Anna's Linens at the Marketplace at El Paseo, a $60-million development guided by a partnership between N3 Real Estate, Rich Development Enterprises and Gryphon Capital.
The development broke ground on March 2 and will contain 500,000 square feet of retail space.
